Terms of Use

Effective October 25, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and VIET NAM CODERS COMPANY LIMITED ("we", "us"). They cover your use of the devkit macOS app, the Linux app and the devkit command-line tool (together, "devkit"). By installing or using devkit you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use devkit.

1. License

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use devkit on computers you own or control, for developing and testing software. We keep all rights in devkit that these terms do not expressly grant you.

2. Restrictions

You may not sell, rent or sublicense devkit, remove its copyright notices, or use it to break the law or harm others' systems. These restrictions do not apply where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.

3. Your data and your actions

devkit works on your files, Docker containers and databases at your request. Some commands change or delete things, for example deleting a site, removing a lane, restoring or resetting a database, or stopping a stack. devkit asks for confirmation and checks for unsaved work first, but you are responsible for the commands you run and the actions you approve. This includes actions AI agents take through devkit with your confirmation. Keep backups of anything important.

4. Third-party software

devkit works with software we do not provide, such as Docker, PHP, Composer, Node.js, pnpm, git, Caddy and mkcert, and with AI agents you choose to connect. Their own licenses and terms govern their use.

5. Prerelease software

Versions numbered below 1.0 are prereleases. Features may change and errors may occur.

6. No warranty

DEVKIT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF DEVKIT. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

8. Updates and termination

We may release updates or stop offering devkit. This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. You may stop using devkit and uninstall it at any time.

9. Governing law

The laws of Vietnam govern these terms, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from its effective date.
